What is SMS?
Paying by SMS means the amount is charged to your phone bill or taken from your mobile credit.
What does it cost?
In practice SMS payments carried a hefty surcharge on top of the purchase amount. A voucher has no such surcharge: the face value is the value you can spend.
Limits and conditions
Above a few euros it was rarely usable.
What if it does not work?
Use a prepaid voucher: same reason to exist — paying without a bank or credit card — but with no surcharge and no per-message ceiling.
