How long is a PlayStation Store gift card valid?
Sony states that some voucher codes carry an expiry date printed on the voucher itself. If no date is shown with your code, Sony states no term. Subscription vouchers can have their own expiry date, which is then shown with the code.
Where to find the date
The validity period is listed in the terms with the code and in your confirmation e-mail. For digital codes it runs from the issue date, not from when you open it, so a code that has been sitting in your inbox has less time left than you would expect.
Expired, now what?
An expired code usually cannot be restored; that is the issuer's call, not the shop's. If you are unsure whether an older code still works, just try it: redeeming costs nothing and you see immediately whether the value is still there.
Common questions
- Does redeemed PlayStation Store credit expire?
- Usually not, but PlayStation Store's own terms decide. Check them before loading a large amount if you are unsure.
