A paysafecard is a prepaid 16-digit payment code that lets you pay online without giving the shop your bank or card details, at webshops and platforms that show paysafecard at checkout.

How to receive and redeem the code
You receive a code or barcode by e-mail that you enter or have scanned at checkout.
- 1Enter the 16-digit code at the shop.
- 2Enter the 16-digit PIN exactly as received by e-mail.
- 3Confirm the payment; the amount is deducted from the code instantly.
- 4Keep any remaining balance for a future purchase or link it to a My paysafecard account.
Validity and balance
The PIN does not expire; from 30 days after purchase paysafecard deducts a monthly fee from the remaining balance. paysafecard itself states €3 on its fees and limits page and €4 in its terms v05/2026 art. 2.1.2.
3% conversion fee for another currency (terms art. 7.2); €7.50 redemption fee (terms art. 2.1.1); no fee for payments to online shops.

€3 per month from the second month; €5 monthly account inactivity fee from the thirteenth month; €7.50 refund fee.
Without an account, the maximum is €50 per payment. Combining multiple codes is allowed.
The code only works where paysafecard is accepted as a payment method.

Validity of the code
paysafecard does not state an expiry date for prepaid codes. From the second month, paysafecard deducts a €3 monthly service fee from the remaining balance unless you add the code to a paysafecard account.
