What is Bancontact?

Bancontact is to Belgium what iDEAL is to the Netherlands: you confirm the payment in the Bancontact app or your own banking app and the amount leaves your current account immediately.

How it works, step by step

1. 1. Choose Bancontact at the checkout.
2. 2. Scan the QR code with the Bancontact app or your banking app.
3. 3. Confirm with your PIN or fingerprint.
4. 4. The code follows by e-mail within the published delivery time.

What does it cost?

We charge no payment-method surcharge for Bancontact. Any product service fee is shown upfront.

Limits and conditions

You need a Belgian current account and your bank sets the daily limit. As with iDEAL, a payment is final once you confirm it.

What if it does not work?

Paying from the Netherlands? Choose iDEAL. Without any bank link, a prepaid voucher works.
