Can you top up Lycamobile credit for someone else?
Yes. You enter the other person's mobile number, pay with your own payment method, and the credit is credited to that number under the operator terms. The recipient does not have to do anything and gets a confirmation from Lycamobile.
Mind the number, not the name
The top-up is driven purely by the phone number. Double-check it before you pay, country code included: credit that lands on the wrong number cannot be recovered.
Fixed amounts and bundles
You can choose between plain credit, which lets the recipient decide how to use it, and a data bundle with a set allowance and duration. Plain credit suits someone who mostly calls; a bundle is nearly always better value for someone who streams.
Common questions
- Does the recipient see who topped up?
- No, Lycamobile only reports that credit was added. If you want them to know it was you, tell them yourself.
- Does topping up work from abroad?
- Yes, you can pay from anywhere as long as the number is a Dutch Lycamobile number.
